Jeanne Kuss Yelverton, 83, went to live with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, leaving her earthly home in Goldsboro.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 11 a.m. at The Word Church, N. William Street, with pastor Linda Borroughs officiating.
Ms. Yelverton had a heart for patriotism and truly loved Isael and the United States of America. She always valued freedom and never took it for granted.
She had a heart of compassion for the homeless population.
After retiring from her position as the vice president of bookkeeping at Branch Banking and Trust, she spent the remainder of her days here on eart serving others in the name of Jesus Christ.
She was a volunteer treasurer and bookkeeper for The Word Church and the House of Fordham. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school, which was very dear to her heart.
Ms. Yelverton is survived by son, Dr. Herbert Yelverton and wife, Barbara, of Cary; three grandchildren; and her family in Christ.
All who had the pleasure of knowing Ms. Yelverton would agree that she was definitely a faithful servant.
