WILSON -- Jasper Taylor Sr., 78, 913 Academy St., formerly of Kinston, died Tuesday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital in Kinston.
The service will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at New Vester Missionary Baptist Church, 8304 Byrd Road in Sims, with pastor Jeffrey Simms officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Willia Mae Taylor of the home, and six children.
A viewing will take place Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, 726 Tarboro St. S.W. The family will receive friends and other family members at the residence where they will also assemble one hour prior to the service.
Arrangements are by Hamilton Funeral Chapel of Wilson.
