BOBBY G. HALL
July 16, 1954-June 14, 2009
Bobby Gene Hall, after fighting a long, hard and brave battle with cancer, died Sunday at his home surrounded by his loved ones.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Michael Shook officiating. Burial will follow in Bethany Church Cemetery.
Bobby was a good man, who loved his wife of 21 years, Susi, and their children. He also loved his dog "Puppy."
He was a quiet, loving, hard working, laid back and deeply loved man. He loved family get-togethers filled with lots of love and laughter. He loved to fish and did so every chance he could get.
He will be sincerely missed for his positive attitude and profound love for his wife, children and family.
Bobby enjoyed his job as an associate with Wal-Mart in Clinton for the past nine years.
Bobby is survived by his wife, Susi Jean Hall; their children, Michael Jones and wife, Diane, of Clinton, Patrick Jones and Kim Smith of Clinton, Lisa Jones and Jeff Raynor of Wilmington and Jessica Butcher and husband, Gary, of Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Jasmine, Alex, Daisy, Garry III, Maison and Zachary; lots of nieces and nephews; two brothers, Ed Hall and wife, Sandy, of Sanford, Fla., and David Hall and wife, Polly, of Hampstead; one sister, Rose Marie Grady and husband, Glynn, of Magnolia; his sisters-in-law, Rena Baptie and husband, Charlie, of Vermont, Judy Coley and husband, Richard, of Vermont, Patty Devino and husband, Jim, of Maine and Sheryl Cizmadia and husband, Dave, of Maine; and his brother-in-law, Roger Sweeney and wife, Lori, of Vermont.
In addition to his mother and father, Eva Daniels Hall and Robert Edward Hall, he was preceded in death by his brother, Tommy Ray Hall.
The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. at Royal-Hall Funeral Home.
The memories he left with his friends and loved ones will help comfort them during this time of sadness. "Dad" as he was lovingly called by Susi, would say "you got to deal with what life gives you".
"I will not be far way, and I will always be with you."
