MARGIE H. KREBS
Died June 13, 2009
CAMDEN -- Margie Harris Krebs, 87, died Saturday at Britthaven of Edenton.
A graveside service was held today at 2 p.m. at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Roland Cooper officiating.
Mrs. Krebs was the daughter of the late Maggie Harris Sawyer and Columbus Harris, and the wife of the late Norman B. Krebs.
A member of Camden Methodist Church, she loved attending and being with its members.
Mrs. Krebs is survived by her sister, Jean Ball of Mount Olive; a brother, Milton Sawyer of Hollywood, Fla.; three daughters, Norma Krebs of Elizabeth City, Theresa Vann of Venice, Fla., and Faye Hudson of Elizabeth City; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Raymond Harris, Elisah Harris and Claymon Sawyer.
The family received friends at 226 Orchard Drive, Elizabeth City, Sunday from 1 to 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Twiford Funeral Homes to assist with the funeral expenses.
Twiford Funeral Homes Memorial Chapel, 405 E. Church St., Elizabeth City, is handling the arrangements.
