KENLY -- A celebration of life for Wilbert Purvis Hinnant, 82, 1466 Scott Road, who died Friday at Johnston Memorial Hospital, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Rocky Branch United Church of Christ, 5968 Hwy. 581 north in Kenly, with evangelist Mary Ruffin as eulogist. He will be laid to rest in Rocky Branch United Church of Christ Cemetery.
There will be a wake Tuesday with family receiving friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at Rocky Branch United Church of Christ in Kenly.
He was born June 6, 1926, in Johnston County to the late James Hinnant and Lizzie Bagley.
