ELDRESS BESSIE M. WILLIAMS

A celebration for the life of Eldress Bessie Martin Williams, 80, of 708 N. Madison Ave., who slipped into God's eternal rest on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at Woods Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Pastor Joseph Watson will be officiating. She will be laid to rest in the Wayne Memorial Park.
She was born Aug. 12, 1928 to the late Wyona Massey Martin and Leslie Martin. She was the widow of Adam Williams. She leaves precious memories to her daughter, Joyce L. Moore; two sons, Willie Martin and Cassius Williams; and goddaughter, Michell Burden. Sisters are Lossie Whitley, the late Frances Hughes, Lessie Johnson, Dorothy Wilson, and brother, Leslie Martin. She also leaves six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
There will be a viewing held from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at Woods Chapel Free Will Baptist Church, 928 New Hope Road, Goldsboro.
