CLOVIS "CHICK" LANCASTER
April 7, 1935-March 18, 2009
PIKEVILLE -- Clovis "Chick" Lancaster, 73, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at home.
Chick was born in Wayne County on April 7, 1935, to the late James Franklin and Hester Marie Hill Lancaster. He was formerly employed with Sylvania-GTE of Smithfield and former owner and operator of Lancaster TV Repair.
He is survived by four sons, Gene Lancaster and wife, Lynn, of Southport, Kenneth Lancaster and wife, Lisa, of Bath, John C. Lancaster of Smithfield and Andrew Lancaster and wife, Aleah, of Pikeville; two brothers, Bobby Lancaster and wife, Edna, of Wilmington and Add Lancaster and wife, Reba, of Pikeville; three sisters, Agnes Ann Green and husband, Jimmie, of Elm City, Ruby Hicks of Goldsboro and Dolly Mozingo of Wilson; five grandchildren, Justin and fiancée, Laura Kelly, Stephen, Anthony, Hailey and Courtney; and a sister-in-law, Doris Lancaster of Pikeville.
In addition to his parents, Chick was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Frances Lancaster, and one brother, Jimmy Lancaster.
A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro. The family will receive friends following the service.
