JANICE G. CAVENAUGH

FREMONT -- Janice Gaynell Cavenaugh, 71, 303 N. Vance St., died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont. The Rev. Wayne Goff and the Rev. Bill Cotton will officiate. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Cavenaugh was born in Greene County to the late Harris and Minnie Conner Hall. She was a member of Fremont Holiness Church. Ms. Cavenaugh was a loving mother and loved to sing.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years of marriage, Roy Lee Cavenaugh; one son, Roy Jessie Harris Cavenaugh Sr. of Fremont; four daughters, Faye Goff and her husband, the Rev. Wayne Goff, of Fremont, Phyllis Cavenaugh of Rosewood, Kathy Cavenaugh of Fremont and Lesley Cavenaugh of Dudley; seven grandchildren, Donna Luper, Michael Goff, Chris Grimes, Brooks Rhodes, Derrick Cavenaugh, Roy Cavenaugh Jr. and Thomas Russell; and seven great-grandchildren, Kimberly Luper, Stephanie Luper, Breanna Sasser, Mikey Paul Goff, Brooks Rhodes Jr., Hayden Grimes and Seth Russell.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Cavenaugh was preceded in death by three brothers, Harris, James and Donald Hall; and one sister, Ella Frances Sullivan.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St., and other times at the residence.
