JOHN T. TAYLOR

STANTONSBURG - John J.T. Thomas Taylor, 68, 706 Watery Branch Church Road, died Tuesday at his home.
Funeral services will be tonight at 7 in the chapel of Shackleford-Howell Fu-neral Home, Fremont, with pastor Foy Houston officiating. Graveside service will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Marsh Swamp Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, 6664 Rock Ridge School Road in Sims.
J.T. was born in Wilson County to the late Thomas and Martha Howard Taylor. He attended Watery Branch Church in Stantonsburg and was the longest member employed at Lee Construction for over 47 years.
He is survived by his wife, Patsy Taylor; one son, Johnny Taylor of Four Oaks; one step-son, Keith Sawyer of Stantonsburg; one daughter, Margaret Taylor Johnson of Wilson; one step-daughter, Deborah Pearson of Stantonsburg; four brothers, Lonnie Taylor of Southern Pines, Donnie, Lester and Leslie Keen, all of Wilson; three sisters, Grace Taylor Lamm and Ruth Durham of Wilson and Louise Wiggs of Princeton; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah Kay Taylor.
The family will receive friends this evening following the service at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home, 102 N. Pine St., Fremont and other times at the residence.
