JESSE R. DAUGHTRY

MOUNT OLIVE -- Jesse Ray Daughtry, 72, 145 Bowden Road, died Monday. Born in Duplin County, he was the son of the late W.S. & Alice Daughtry. He was retired from Pate Dawson Company and attended Calvary Baptist Church.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The Rev. Wayne Nelson will be officiating.
Mr. Daughtry is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Daughtry; daughters, Wanda D. Whaley and husband, Ronnie, and Gail D. Correll; son, William Kirk Daughtry and wife, Marlene; grandchildren, Mandy B. Hancock, J. Wayne Bryant Jr., William K. Daughtry Jr., M. Brandon Daughtry, Jesse R. Daughtry II, S. Eric Daughtry, R. Allen Correll and D. Neil Correll; great-grandchildren, Allainah Hancock, Haylah Bryant, Natalie Daughtry and Landon Daughtry; and brother, Henry Daughtry of Greensboro.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Eliza Game; brothers, Danny, Russell, Rudolph, Richard and Clarence Daughtry.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and at other times at the home.
