Funeral services for Annie Mae Best are scheduled for Sunday at 2 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home Ministries, 900 S. George St., with pastor Mona Lisa Smith Williamston officating. Burial will follow in the Turner Swamp Cemetery, Eureka.
Mrs. Best was preceded in death by her father, Eli Kirkman; her husband, Rooselvelt Best; and a brother, Woodrow Kirkman.
She is survived by one son , Calvin L. Best of Essex, Md.; one daugher, Dolly Hines of the home; one brother, Clevand Kirkman of Newport News, Va.; one sister, Rosetta Baker of Kinston; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
