Funeral services for Marian Davis Blount will be Saturday at St. James AME Zion Church. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery, with the Rev. Glenn Davis officiating.
Mrs. Blount was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta sorority. She was also a graduate of N. C. Central University and retired after 35 years of service as librarian of Carver Heights Elementary School.
Mrs. Blount is survived by her husband, Leonard Blount of the home; one brother, Raymond Davis of Winston-Salem; one sister, Frances Saber of Winston-Salem.
