KINSTON - Mary Frances Scott Gray, 85, died Monday at Britthaven Nursing Home in Snow Hill. A native of McMinnville, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late Henry Eugene Scott and Notie Lewis Scott. Mrs. Gray was a graduate of the University of Alabama where she majored in music. Following marriage to her late husband, Robert Edward Lee Gray, she made Kinston her home and began working with Wachovia Bank. Following 38 years of service with Wachovia, she retired as an Assistant Vice-President.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 7 p.m. at the Taylor-Tyson Funeral Service chapel with the Reverend Leon Grubbs officiating. Pursuant to her wishes, she will be interred at the Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, Tenn. on the Scott Family lot.
She is survived by her brother-in-law, Lyman Gray and wife, Becky, of Goldsboro.
A time of visitation will be held following the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hull Road FWB Church, 3984 Hull Road, Snow Hill 28580.
