TURKEY - Carrie Cooper Chandler, 79, 9606 Turkey Hwy., died Saturday at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Care Center in Wilming-ton.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Turkey with the Rev. Bob Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Devotional Gardens, Warsaw.
Mrs. Chandler, daughter of the late Henry and Ada Cooper, was educated in the Sampson and Duplin County Schools. She was a retired seamtress.
She is survived by her son, Floyd H. Chandler of Turkey; two sisters, Deborah McIver and Gladys Bowden of Warsaw; three brothers, Amos Cooper of Turkey, Albert Cooper of Baltimore, Md., and LaFayette Cooper of Yonkers, N.Y.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.at Garris Funeral Home in Mount Olive and at the church one hour prior to the service.The family will receive friends at the residence.
