BELA M. NEWSOME

Bela Mozingo Newsome, 92, 2614 Lisa Lane, died on Sunday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
She was born in Wayne County to the late Rufus and Lillie Parrish Mozingo and was married to the late Giles Clayton Newsome.
A homemaker, she was a member of Woods Grove PFWB Church.
Funeral services will be Tuesday at 7 p.m., at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Mike Grady and the Rev. Virgil Whitehurst officiating. Burial will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Willow Dale Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Newsome Lynch of Goldsboro; four stepchildrren, Irene Thorne, Daphene Radford and Doris Smith of La Grange and Ras Newsome of California; two grandchildren, Jason C. Phelps and special friend, Cody Loch, and Lora Smith and special friend, Todd, all of Goldsboro; a brother-in-law, Hubert Jolly of Virginia Beach, Va.; two nieces, Ellen Davis and Marie Smith, both of Goldsboro; a nephew, Kenneth Moye of Florida; and special caregivers, Tiffany and Shemekia.
The family will greet friends immediately following the service on Tuesday and at other times at the home of Wanda Lynch, 2614 Lisa Lane, Goldsboro.
