SURF CITY -- Terry Vance Pelt Sr. 64, formerly of Dudley, died Monday at his home in Surf City.
The funeral will be held Friday at 7 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Sharp officiating. The family will receive friends following the services
Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Henry Garfield and Myrtle West Pelt. He was a retired mechanic with Stackhouse for over 20 years.
Mr. Pelt was a former member of Goldsboro Moose Lodge and was a member and served on the board of trustees for Topsail Moose Lodge. He was an avid golfer.
He is survived by his former wife, Patricia Bordeaux Pelt of Dudley; his son, Terry Vance Pelt Jr. and wife, Kelly, of Rosewood; his daughter, Teresa Pelt Sharp and husband, Tim, of Goldsboro; his brother, Jarvis Garfield Pelt and wife, Carolyn, of Pikeville; a sister, Linda Williams and husband, Charlie, of LaGrange; brothers-in-law, Charles Bordeaux, Billy Bordeaux and wife, Sue, and Danny Bordeaux and wife, Sherry; five grandchildren, Richard, Daniel and Royce Pelt, Matthew and Meagan Sharp. He was the legal guardian for Jennifer Lynn Bordeaux and Jason Daniel Bordeaux.
