Hilda Rae Stanley Peeples, 78, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bill Rose and Pat Gurley officiating. Interment will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Harrell's Chapel Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Snow Hill.
Mrs. Peeples was born in Wayne County June 15, 1928, to the late Thomas Stanley and Myrtie Wiggins Stanley. She was a member of Victory Free Will Baptist Church and had worked as a cashier with the Colonial Store.
Mrs. Peeples is survived by her children, Michael Stanley Moore and Karen Louise Moore Creech of Goldsboro; her sister, Julia Tyndall of Goldsboro; her grandchildren, Chad Craft, Casey Craft and wife, Corin, and Christi Newcomb and husband, Joe; her great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Craft, Bryan Craft, Reagan Newcomb, Joshua Newcomb, Katie Ann McGee Newcomb, Destiny Craft, Victoria Craft and Cameron Craft; and many special nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends Thursday following the service at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at the home of her daughter, 501 N. Leslie Street, Goldsboro.
