Goldie Fields Pearce, 76, formerly of Pikeville, passed away on Friday in Durham.
A graveside service will be held today at 2 p.m. at Princeton Cemetery in Princeton. The Rev. Barry Stallings will officiate.
Ms. Pearce was born in Wayne County to the late Howard Fields and Alice Brock Fields. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Free Will Baptist Church in Pikeville.
She is survived by one son, Johnnie Gurley and his wife, Nancy, of Goldsboro; one daughter, Brenda Sorrell and her husband, C.G., of Durham; one brother, Bobby Fields and his wife, Edna, of Pikeville; one sister, Frances Barnes and her husband, Rudy, of Goldsboro; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Pearce was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Ray Pearce.
The family will receive friends following the graveside service today at Princeton Cemetery.
