MARY ROBINSON
Died Sept. 29, 2006
Mary Ann Robinson, 73, 100 N. Spence Ave., Apt. H-6, died at Kitty Askins Hospice Center Friday morning.
The funeral will be held today at 2 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home chapel with Garfin C. Martin officiating. Entombment will be at Wayne Memorial Park Mausoleum.
She was the daughter of the late Victor Paunee and Mary Lacy Byrd and the widow of the late Otis James Robinson Jr.
Mrs. Robinson was a medical transcriptionist with the hospital at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
She is survived by her daughter, Julia Ann Robinson Casto and husband, Danny, of Sterling Heights, Mich.; a son, James Victor Robinson and wife, Jerrie, of Durham; grandchildren, Veronica E. Mitchell and husband, Michael, of Durham and Lacy Ann Casto of Sterling Heights; great-grandchildren, Lauren A. Mitchell of Creedmoor and Brooke N. Andrews, Bruce A. Mitchell and Ben D. Mitchell of Durham; and a great-great-grandson, Trey "Cricket" E. Andrews of Durham.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Ronald E. Robinson, and a granddaughter, Cindy E. Mitchell.
The family received friends Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
