ROCKVILLE, Md. -- James "Rudolph" Joyner, 77, formerly of the Best Station community, died Sept. 23 in Rockville.
He was the son of the late Walter Joyner.
Among his surviviors are his wife, Willie Mae Joyner of Rockville; four sons, Ronnie Joyner of Rockville, LeRoy McDowell of Elm City and Greg Manns and Sean Manns, both of Washington D.C.; one daughter, Michelle Curtis of Upper Marboro, Md.; and three sisters, Juruth Joyner Atkinson of Goldsboro, Etta Joyner Becton of LaGrange and Nora Joyner Sims of Baltimore, Md.
The funeral will be Thursday in Maryland.
