ALTHEA J. SHELDON

Althea Jahn Sheldon went to be with the Lord on Monday.
Mrs. Sheldon was born in Springfield, Mass., on March 6, 1924, to the late Cora Bond Jahn and Walter Jahn. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William C. Sheldon, and her granddaughter, Frieda Maria Sumann.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Hawley officiating. Burial will follow in Willow Dale Cemetery.
Mrs. Sheldon is survived by her five children, Martha Sheldon, Stephen Sheldon, Jonathan Sheldon and his wife, Barbara, Miriam S. Sumann and her husband, Wolfgang, all of Goldsboro, and Ronald Sheldon and his wife, Lori of Ashuelot, NH. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Reynolds of Ludlow, Mass.; and seven grandchildren, Rebecca, Melissa, and David Sheldon and Gracelyn Sumann of Goldsboro and William, Frances and Elizabeth Sheldon of Ashuelot, N.H.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the administration and staff at Glencare of Mount Olive for their loving care of Mrs. Sheldon.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and other times at her home, 701 Guilford Street, Goldsboro.
