TRENTON -- Katherine Griffin Green, 77 2603 Wyse Fork Road, died Sunday, at her home.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Garner Funeral Home. Burial will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Friendship Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Trenton.
She was a homemaker and seamstress and was employed with Belk's for more than 25 years. She was a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Mrs. Green was preceded in death by her parents, James Coy and Rachel Jarman Griffin, and her brother, Elwood Griffin.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Logan W. Green of the home; her son, Donald W. Green and wife, Geneva, of Trenton; her granddaughters, Dana Green Coward and husband, Timmy, and Aimee Green Gillen and husband, Robert, of Trenton; her great-grandchildren, Brandon, Nicholas, Logan, Tiffany and Hannah; her sisters, Geraldine Griffin Hall and husband, Edward, of Jacksonville and Linda Griffin Miller and husband, Bud, of Trenton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the service Wednesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the home.
