BARBARA WEATHERFORD

Barbara H. Weatherford, 75, of Emporia died Friday. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie M. "Bill" Weatherford. She is survived by one son, John P. Weatherford and his wife, Michelle Foss of Dunn; four sisters, Mary Frances H. Allen of Lawrenceville, Janice H. Stevens of Bessemer, Ala., Lois H. Gibson of Emporia and Susan H. Griffin of Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Mrs. Weatherford was a member of the Red Hat Society, a longtime member of Concord United Methodist Church in Seaboard, N.C., and knew Jesus Christ as her personal savior and Lord. She spent much time as a volunteer with the local food bank at Baltimore Baptist Church. A graveside funeral service will be 2 p.m. this afternoon at Greenville Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Crater Community Hospice, 840 W. Roslyn Road, Suite E, Colonial Heights, Va. 23834.
