DORIS S. ALBRITTON

Doris Schmidt Albritton, 76, of 1737 Beautancus Road, died Monday morning at Sunbridge Care Center.
Funeral services will be held this evening at 7 p.m. at Tyndall's Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chris Currie officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
Committal and burial will be at 10 a.m. on Wednesday at the Calypso Cemetery.
A native of New Hanover County, she had served in the U.S. Army obtaining the rank of First Lieutenant. She served as a military nurse with 18 months of service in Korea.
She had been employed as a nurse in the anesthesiology department at both Duplin General Hospital and New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include her husband, Henry C. Albritton of the home; a son, Paul Wayne Albritton of Maryland, and a grandson, Michael Wayne Albritton.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Alesia Ann Albritton; a brother, Frederick Schmidt; and her parents, Paul Schmidt and Dorothy Lewis Schmidt Patelos.
