DEACON IRVIN ROWE

EUREKA -- Deacon Irvin Rowe, 83, 205 Chase St., died Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Mark Church of Christ of Faro with Pastor Robert Hood officiating. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park North.
He attended Wayne County Public Schools and was a Wayne County farmer and custodian for Wayne County Schools.
He was a lifetime member of St. Mark Church of Christ of Faro. He served as deacon at St. Mark for 50 years. He served as a Sunday school teacher, usher and choir member.
He was preceded in death by two daughters, Bertha Rowe Oates and Gladys Rowe Drummond.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Rowe of the home, and three brothers, Hersel Rowe of Goldsboro, Jesse Rowe of Greensboro and Octavius Rowe of Atlanta, Ga.
