Lissie Baker Best, 95, Britthaven of Goldsboro, died Sunday.
The funeral will be held Satur-day at 3 p.m. at Shady Grove Mis-sionary Bap-tist Church of LaGrange with Elder James E. Lewis and Pastor Larry M. Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Old Mill Cemetery.
She was a native of Wayne County. She was a member of Thompson Chapel Free Will Baptist Church for 84 years and served on the mother board.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Carrie Phillips Baker, and her husband, Raymond Best.
She is survived by a daughter, Carrie Ann Peterson of Burlington; six sons, Otis Best, Larry Best, Connie Best, Linwood Best and Walter Battle of Goldsboro and Cassius Best of Atlanta, Ga.; a sister, Martha Uzzell of Washington D.C.; 27 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-grandchild.
The viewing will be Friday from 2 to 6 p.m. at McIntyre Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
