MAGNOLIA -- Fred R. Dobson, 88, 1101 N.C. 50, died Saturday at Wake Medical Hospital of Raleigh.
The funeral will be held Wednesday at the First Missionary Baptist Church of Kenansville with Pastor E.T. Coston officiating. Interment will be in the Dobson Family Cemetery of Magnolia.
He was the son of the late Cyrus and Narcussias Dobson.
He is survived by his wife, Essie Dobson of Warsaw; a son, Fred Davis Dobson of Magnolia; two daughters, Willie Leggett of Greensboro and Mary Dobson Wilson of Magnolia; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The viewing will be Wednesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.
The family will receive friends at the residence.
Garris Funeral Home of Mount Olive is serving the family.
