Mrs. Doris Harrington Smith died Friday. A graveside funeral service will be conducted Monday at 10:30 a.m. in Pinewood Memorial Park in Greenville.
Mrs. Smith, a native of Pitt County, attended Greenville High School. She made her home in Columbia, N.C., where she and her husband owned and operated Smith Jewelers. She also made her home in Portsmouth, Va., before returning to Pitt County in 1982.
She attended Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church and visited numerous area churches including the Alligood Church of God.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Smith Whitehurst of Myrtle Beach and Pansy Smith Dailey of Virginia Beach; two sons, Wayne Smith and his wife, Brandy, of Goldsboro, and Craig Smith and his wife, Melana, of Washington; two sisters, Susan H. Harris and her husband, Bob, and Delores G. Bell and her husband, John, all of Grimesland; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Wilkerson Funeral Home today from 6 to 8 p.m.
