Sonnie Lemont Garrett, 57, of 81 West Allen St., Irvington, N.J., died Monday at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
The funeral will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. The Rev. James Collins will officiate. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Garrett is survived by his mother Dorothy Faison of Goldsboro; daughters, Angie Garrett of Irvington, N.J., and Toya of Alanta, Ga; sons Carlton of Goldsboro and Michael, Rasheed, and Sonnie Jr. of Irvington, N.J.; sister, Vivian Garrett Williams of Baltimore, Md.; brothers Douglas, Danny, Isaac, and Jimmy; and six grandchildren.
A viewing will be held today from 11:30 until 1:30 p.m. at Goldsboro Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
Hamilton Funeral Chapel is handling the arrangements.
