Joyce Wall Allen, 74, mother of David Glen Allen of Princeton, died Monday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.
A resident of Smithfield and a former resident of Pine Level, she was a Johnston County native. Her parents were the late J.T. and Elvira Brown Wall and she was married to the late David Roy Allen of Pine Level.
In addition to her son, she is survived by four daughters, Evelyn Gurley of Raleigh, Mary Glosson of Zebulon, Barbara Baker of Smithfield, and Jo Ann Creech of Selma; one brother, Jimmy Wall of Selma; and 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Pine Level Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member. Burial will be in Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 until 9 at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma.
