MARY IVEY
Died July 30, 2006
The funeral for Mary Gertrude Ivey, 91, will be held by the graveside on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Seven Springs Methodist Church Cemetery in Seven Springs. The Rev. Ashley Summerlin will officiate.
Mrs. Ivey died Sunday at Duplin General Hospital in Kenansville.
She was the daughter of the late Alec and Gertrude Best Anderson, who were residents of the Elroy community in Wayne County, and was the widow of John W. Ivey Jr. She was a member of Casey's Chapel Church.
Her survivors include two sons, John "Jack" Ivey III of Faison and Alexander J. Ivey of Bosque Farms, N.M.; four daughters, Ruby Ivey Gonzales of Albuquerque, N.M., Linda Ivey Griffin of Potters Hill, Ann Ivey Hart of Mount Olive and Celes Ivey Jones of Faison; one sister, Hazel Anderson Pickup of Goldsboro; and nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends this evening from 7 until 9 at Community Funeral Home in Warsaw, and other times at the residence at 339 Herman Taylor Road, Faison.
