WILLIAM A. KEENE
May 14, 1935-July 23, 2006
William Alex Keene, 71, of Tampa, Fla., died Sunday.
He was the son of the late Bo and Margaret Yates and was a 1953 graduate of Princeton Nigh School. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving 23 years as an avionics mechanic and was a member and past Post Commander of Town & Country VFW, Chapter 10548. He also retired as a mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Juanita M. Keene, and is survived by one stepson, Jerry Lambert of Michigan City, Ind.; one stepdaughter, Sandra Lambert of Tampa, Fla.; and five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9 until 10 on Saturday morning at Casey Funeral Home and interment will follow at 11 a.m. at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
