KINSTON -- Maurice Ray Hill, 69, of 4048 Highway 55 West, died Tuesday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
The funeral will be held tonight at 7 in the chapel of Howard-Carter Funeral Home, with the Rev. Glassie Locklear and the Rev. Mike Dixon officiating. Private burial will be in Westview Cemetery.
Mr. Hill was the son of the late Herman and Sadie Moody Hill and was retired from Wilcox Marketing.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Dawn Hill of the home; one daughter, Teresa; his sons, David Hill and wife, Kelly, of Stantonsburg, Donald Hill and wife, Betsy, of Pikeville, John Hill and special friend, Erica, of Grantsboro, Marty Hill of LaGrange and Dennis Ray Hill of Goldsboro; his sisters, Joyce Brown of Roanoke, Va., and Ruth Ann Bland of Kinston; two brothers, Ronald Hill of Goldsboro and James Aubrey Hill of New Bern; and two grandchildren, Thad Hill and Chandler Tyndall.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home immediately following the service tonight, and other times at the residence.
