Darlene King, 47, of LaGrange, died Tuesday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville.
She was born in San Antonio, Texas, to Jerry Layton King and Edna Anderson
King. She was employed
with New Hope Grocery.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by three sons, Richie Mills, Joshua Torres, and Michael Torres of the home; two brothers, Howard King of Kinston and Donald King of Ayden; one sister, Jerri Daffron of LaGrange; her maternal grandmother, Blanche Anderson of Rosewood; and one grandchild.
A celebration of life service will be held Friday at 4 p.m. at the home of Jerry and Edna King, 218 Beston Drive, LaGrange. The family will receive friends afterward.
Howell Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
