The funeral for Heather Marie Tucker, 22, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The Rev. Charles Gentry and the Rev. Karl Bartlett will officiate. Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery near Seven Springs.
She died Sunday from injuries received in an automobile accident.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of Patricia Ann Tice of Goldsboro and the late Gregory Lee Tucker. She graduated from Southern Wayne High School in 2002 and was attending Wayne Community College. She was employed at Ross Stores and Food Lion.
Survivors, in addition to her mother, include a son, Garrett Thomas Tucker; three brothers, Brian Keith Helmick of Dudley and Jeffrey Phillips and Joshua Phillips of Pikeville; her grandfather, Harold Lane of Dudley; and her great-grandmother, Dorothy Medlin of Goldsboro.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 9 at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and other times at the residence at 275 Mobile Circle in Dudley.
