ERMA HOGGARD
July 10, 1920-June 22, 2006
Erma Lee Williams Hoggard, 85, of Aulander, died Thursday at Bertie Memorial Hospital in Windsor.
Mrs. Hoggard was the daughter of the late Joseph "Billy" Williams and Amelia Mae Williams and the widow of James Bruce Hoggard. She was a member of Connaritsa Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, James Bruce Hoggard Jr., and his wife, Donna, of Dudley; two grandchildren, Tammy Cartagena and husband, Wilson, of Dudley and Gary Hoggard and wife, Judy, of Pikeville; four great-grandchildren, Maria Cartagena, Chris Cartagena, Casey Sasser, and Wyatt Hoggard; one great-great-grandchild, Austin Cartagena; and several nieces, nephews and two sisters-in-law.
A graveside service was held today at 11 a.m. at Edgewood Cemetery in Windsor, with the Rev. Charles Thompson officiating.
Arrangements are with Massey Funeral Home in Aulander.
