ASHTON RHODES
Died June 22, 2006
KINSTON -- Issac Ashton Rhodes, 21, of 4002 Highway 55W., died Wednesday.
He was an Eagle Scout and past president of Phi Kappa PSI Fraternity of East Carolina University. He was dedicated to the Lord at Holy Innocents Episcopal Church and was a decorated Fire Fighter with Sandy Bottom Vol. Fire Dept.
Survivors include his parents, Jo Frances Whitfield Rhodes and Shelton Rhodes Jr. of Kinston; one brother, Vernon Ray Sowers, and his wife, Melissa, of Greenville; maternal grandfather Hubert Whitfield of Kinston; paternal grandfather, Shelton Rhodes Sr. of Goldsboro; and niece, Skylar Sowers of Greenville.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Howard-Carter Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Norman Ard officiating. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Park.
Visitation will be held tonight from 7 until 9 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Hubert Whitfield, 3967 Highway 55W, Kinston.
