THELMA CARUTHERS

Thelma Marie Caruthers, 81, of 265-B Pinkney Church Road, Fremont, died Tuesday evening at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Howell Funeral Home & Crematory. The Rev. Gary Bailey will officiate. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Caruthers was born in Allegheny County, Pa., to the late John Walter Henderson and Stella Green Henderson. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Bunola, Pa.
She is survived by five daughters, Janice Ames and her husband, Ivan, of Niceville, Fla., Shirley Mooring of Pikeville, Peggy Holland and her husband, Jim, of White Oak, Pa., Pat Person and her husband, Keith, of Fremont and Ruth Hoffman and her husband, Belton, of Macomb, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, John Carter, Judy Wills, Lisa Cialone, Rich Glass, Jim Holland Jr., Belinda Holland, Michael Holland, Julie Matthews, David Ridoutt and Ronnie Person; one brother, Daniel Henderson and his wife, Bobbie, of Texas; three sisters, Eillen Caruthers of Florida, Erma Hazuda of Pennsylvania and Audrey Bailey and her husband, Don, of Pennsylvania; and 13 great-grandchildren, Amber Grim, Jennifer Carter, Holly Carter, and Kristin Carter, Joey, Nikki and Rickie Cialone, Mina Vanessa and Aiden Holland, Helena and Joey Holland and Hunter Matthews; and one great-great grandson, Christian.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Caruthers was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Moore Caruthers, and a grandson, Jay Carter.
The family will receive friends today from 7 until 8:30 p.m. at Howell Funeral Home & Crematory in Goldsboro.
