The funeral for Vernell "Bunt" Jackson will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Johnson-Lightner Funeral Home. Elder Eileen Henry will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Jackson is survived by two sons, Charles Jackson of Goldsboro and Vernell Jackson Jr. of Snow Hill; one daughter, Cynthia Tukes of LaGrange; one sister, Arthenia Smith of Goldsboro; and three grandchildren.
The viewing hours will be from 2 until 7 on Thursday afternoon at Johnson-Lightner Funeral Home, 601 E. Ash St.
The funeral procession will line up at the home of Cynthia Tukes, 2521 N. Beston Road, LaGrange.
