Rufus Spruill, 69, of 502 A. Street, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
The funeral will be held Saturday at noon at Hamilton Funeral Chapel. Pastor Shirley Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mr. Spruill was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Susan Spruill Rouse.
He is survived by five sisters, Justine Hobbs and Patrice Dunn of Goldsboro, Linda Thompson of Newton Grove, Barbara Artis of Stantonsburg and Theresa Lewis of Fayetteville; four brothers, Cullen Rouse Jr. and Samuel Williams of Goldsboro, George Williams Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa., and Willie L. Williams of Eureka; and his stepmother, Beatrice Williams of Eureka.
The viewing hours will be from 3 until 8 today at Hamilton Funeral Chapel, and the family will be present to receive friends from 7 until 8 p.m.
