MARY MOTSKO

LA GRANGE -- Mary Catherine Herring Motsko, 82, of 4941 Pauls Path Road, died Saturday at Lenoir Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Motsko was born in Lenoir County to the late Jake and Nancy Braxton Herring. She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas "Chuck" Motsko; and a sister, Edna Ruth Howell.
Mrs. Motsko was a retired registered nurse, having worked three years at Caswell Center and then 25 years at Lenoir Memorial Hospital, where she retired in 1980 as nursing supervisor. She was a member of the Order Of Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at Rouse Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Fletcher officiating. A committal service will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. from Fairview Cemetery.
Mrs. Motsko is survived by daughter, Nancy Motsko McGhinnis and husband, Dean of Granite Falls; son, Alex Motsko and wife, Marian of Kinston; sister, Josephine Eisel of Macon, Ga.; brother, Jake Herring of La Grange; grandchildren, Andy Motsko of La Grange, Jason McGhinnis and wife, Amber of Granite Falls, Thomas Motsko Turner and wife, Sherry of La Grange; great-grandchild, Blake Motsko.
The family will receive friends following the service Tuesday and at other times they will be at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alex Motsko, 2112 Westwood Drive, Kinston.
