BOBBY PROCTOR

Robert "Bobby" Proctor, 68, of 201 Charles Drive, Fremont, died Thursday morning at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
The funeral will be held today at 3 p.m. at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home Chapel. The Reverends Billy Toler, Jerry Evans and Loyd Hargis will officiate. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Fremont.
Mr. Proctor was born in Wilson County to the late Luther Proctor and Clyde Varnell Proctor. He was a member of Fremont Free Will Baptist Church. Mr. Proctor was employed with Firestone in Wilson for 15 years and retired as a correctional officer at Selma Correctional Center. He also served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife, Loydene Bass Proctor; two daughters, Bobbi Ann Crawford, and her husband, Ron, of Goldsboro and Jennifer Montague of Fremont and her husband, David, of Goldsboro; three sisters, Myrtle Ivey, Peggy Rodgers and her husband, George, and Flora Tripp, all of Fremont; a brother, Thomas Proctor, and his wife, Linda, of Fremont; and three grandchildren; Caleb Crawford, Joshua Crawford and Macy Montague.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Leland "B.K." Proctor and Dennis Proctor.
The family received friends Saturday at Shackleford-Howell Funeral Home in Fremont, and other times at the residence.
