The funeral for Mary L. Kornegay Jenkins, 87, of 1709 S. Ball St. will be held Saturday at 1 p.m. at St. Matthew A.M.E. Zion Church, 910 N. John St.. The Rev. J. W. Britt will officiate. Burial will be in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Jenkins died Sunday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
She was the daughter of the late Isaiah and Susan Faison Kornegay.
She is survived by one sister, Frances Evans of Goldsboro, and one brother, David John Kornegay of Mount Olive.
The viewing hours will be from 4 until 7 today at Garris Funeral Home Chapel and on Saturday at the church in Mount Olive one hour prior to funeral.
The family will receive friends this evening from 6 until 7 at Garris Funeral Home, and other times at the residence of David and Ethel Kornegay, 2194 Thunder Swamp Road, Mount Olive.
