SHIRLEY GOODING

LaGrange--Shirley Ann Smith Gooding, 67, died Monday at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Gooding was born in Newman, Ga. to the late Richard L. Smith Sr. and Dollie Decuba Smith. She retired from J.C. Penny with 23 years of service. Mrs. Gooding was a longtime member of Freeman Methodist Church and recently was affiliated with Adamsville Church of God.
Funeral services will be held today at 7 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel, Goldsboro with Rev. Wesley Jarman officiating. Interment will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newman, Ga.
Mrs. Gooding is survived by her husband, Bobby Gooding; and her sister, Janelle Smith. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Folds and Kathryn Gaddy.
The family will receive friends today following the service at Seymour Funeral Home in Goldsboro and Friday from 12:30 -1:30 p.m. at Higgins-Hillcrest Chapel, 1 Bullsboro Drive, Newman, Ga.
