MARJORIE OVERMAN
January 27, 1919-May 20, 2006
WALLACE--Marjorie Moore Overman died Friday at her home in Wallace.
Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Ezra Alexander & Mallie Edwards Moore and wife of the late Thell Becton Overman. Marjorie received her AB Degree from Guilford College in Greensboro and was a very active member and supporter of Guilford College Alumni Association.
Graveside funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wayne Memorial Park Cemetery in Goldsboro and a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at the Wallace United Methodist Church with Dr. Frances Gay and Rev. Rufus Butner officiating.
Mrs. Overman is survived by one daughter, five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, one sister and two brothers.
A short period of visitation will be held at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro on Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the graveside service.
