MOUNT OLIVE--Sarah Bertha Bass, 82, of 1120 S. Church St. died Thursday at SunBridge Nursing Center. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. from The House of Prayer, 958 Sleepy Creek Rd. Dudley with Elder Moses Darden, officiating. Burial will follow in the Wayne Memorial Park North.
She was the daughter of the late Joe and Liza Moore.
She is survived by sons Ronnell Bass of Mount Olive and Donnell Bass of Dudley; daughters Vinette Butler of Mitchelleville, Md., Andra Howard of Baltimore, Md., Madelene Kornegay of Mount Olive and JoAnn Morrisey of Atlanta, Ga.; sister Clara Darden of Mount Olive and nineteen grandchildren.
Viewing will be held today from 3-7 p.m. at the Garris Funeral Home Chapel.
The family will receive friends at the home of Ronnell and Annette Bass, 282 Barwick Rd. Mount Olive.
