Donna Cogdell Daughtry, 72, of 100 Daughtry Lane, died Friday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center.
Mrs. Daughtry was born in Wayne County to the late William Edgar Cogdell and Henrietta Neal Cogdell. She was retired from Southern Bell Telephone Company. Mrs. Daughtry was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Days Saints with Bishop Steven Briggs presiding. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.
Mrs. Daughtry is survived by her husband, Billy L. Daughtry; her daughters, Luann Gwaltney and husband, Ken and Sandra Daughtry, all of Goldsboro; her sons, Lynn Daughtry and wife, Lisa and Jeff Daughtry and wife Patty, all of Goldsboro; her sister, Mary Lou Weagley of Goldsboro, her brother, Claude Cogdell and wife, Mary Caroline of Lenoir; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Although flowers are welcome, memorials may be made to Kitty Askins Hospice Center, 2402 Wayne Memorial Drive, Goldsboro, N.C. 27534.
The family will receive friends today from 7-9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home and at other times at the residence.
