NEWTON GROVE -- The funeral for John Oscar "Bud" Evans, 50, of Dunn, will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Western Assembly Disciples of Christ. Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Dunn.
Mr. Evans died Thursday at Betsy Johnson Regional Hospital in Dunn.
He was the son of Joe Lee and Eartha Pearl Evans of Clinton.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two children, Tiffany G. Lofton of Four Oaks and Shakeim Pegues of Dunn; two brothers, Joe Nathan Evans of Clinton and Terry Delynn Evans of Newton Grove; and three sisters, Christine Williams of Dunn and Elizabeth E. Robinson and Sarah Evans of Newton Grove.
The visiting hours will be from 1 until 8 today at Dafford Funeral Home in Dunn, and the family will receive friends there this evening from 7 until 8. At other times the family will be at the home of Joe Lee and Eartha Pearl Evans, 223 Evans-Bryant Lane, Clinton.
