ANNE S. MONEYHUN

GREENVILLE -- Mrs. Anne Spivey Moneyhun died peacefully Sunday, May 7, 2006, at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Anne was born in Kenly, N.C., on December 11, 1937, to John and Caroline Spivey. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Anne retired from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill after 24 years of service.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Seymour Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Norris, O.S.F.S., presiding. Entombment will be at Wayne Memorial Park.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Mike, of 47 years; her daughter, Anne Harrison; her sons, Donald Moneyhun and Romulo D. Santos, of Greenville; a grandson, Josh Harrison, who will miss his "Dee" very much. Anne is also survived by three loving sisters, Maye Gurley Myers, Elizabeth Trammell and husband, Jim; and Gloria Cooner and husband, David, all of Goldsboro; and host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lee Spivey Brown, Juanita Spivey Moore and Marie Spivey.
Anne and her family have been very blessed with so many loving and supportive family members and friends who have been our strength and shoulder on which to lean.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Anne Spivey Moneyhun Memorial Fund for her grandson, Josh Harrison, in care of the State Employees Credit Union, 2296 South Charles Blvd., Greenville, NC, 27858.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seymour Funeral Home.
