THE REV. HUBERT HUNTING
Died April 20, 2006
ATHENS -- The Rev. Hubert Randall Hunting, 80, formerly of Athens, Ohio, died at 4:25 p.m. on Thursday at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
The Rev. Hunting served as chaplain of the Athens Mental Health Center in Athens for more than 30 years. He served as pastor at Baptist churches in Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina and Ohio.
He was a native of Huntingville, Quebec, Canada. He became a U.S. citizen and served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II.
The Rev. Hunting was preceded in death by his wife, Leona Ruth Hunting; son, Mark R. Hunting; brother, William Hunting; and sister Joyce Loew.
He leaves two daughters and sons-in-law, Irene and George Britton of Overland Park, Kan., and Alice and David Walker of Pembroke Pines, Fla.; three stepchildren and their families, Rodney King, Carla Parkis and Kim Reeves of Athens, Ohio; and grandchildren, Clay Britton, Matthew Walker, Melissa and Jason King, Jimmie Parkis and Christopher and Aaron Reeves.
He also leaves brothers, Maurice Hunting of Tunkhannock, Pa., and Keith Hunting of Charlotte, N.C.
Graveside services will be held at St. Paul's in the Valley in Brevard, N.C., at a later date.
Memorial service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Bristol Court Apartments, 600 Fifth St., Waverly, Ohio.

The family is being served by Boyer Funeral Home.
